RAGGI VERDI
Un progetto territoriale per promuovere la mobilità lenta

Raggi Verdi is a project of the 2005 promoted and developed by AIM with the LAND study welcomed by the municipality of Milan within the Territory Government Plan.

The Green Rays promote slow mobility through the realization of 8 ecological connections with an average length of 10 km connecting the center of Milan with its green belt, proposing a new way of enjoying the open spaces of the city thanks to the setting up of urban parks, pedestrian areas and cycle paths. The Verdi Rays project intends to increase the urban permeability, encourage the sustainable mobility and to act as an instrument of social cohesion e recovery of the urban landscape.

If in the collective imagination Milan is not a green city, the new project of the Green Rays becomes fundamental for the construction of a new image of Milan. Opportunity to rethink the city in the physical dimension of public space. This means, for example, that when youit will speak of green we will not talk about single isolated fragments, but we will talk about one strategy for the city : a green circle and rays that can make up the Nine Parks that surround the Milanese urban area with the city center. A project for the city, for its citizens, for Milan running for Expo 2015 .
